In another effort to make a positive impact on crime prevention in Indiana, the ISPA Board of Directors realized the need for our organization to build strong, lasting relationships between police officers and children. To accomplish this fete, we had to bring together our Troopers and the children in their respective communities. Cops for Kids of Indiana, Inc. was incorporated in 1991 to assist in this very worth while endeavor. Under the direction of the ISPA Board of Directors, ISPA President Greg Oeth chairs the Cops for Kids Screening Committee, which seeks out those opportunities where Cops for Kids of Indiana can make a difference in the lives of deserving children. Since its inception in 1991, Cops for Kids has been instrumental in supporting hundreds of youth programs, building strong relationships between our kids and those officers sworn to serve and protect. Through Cops for Kids, children, from toddlers to teens, witness first hand that their Indiana State Troopers are stellar members of the community, committed to serving at all levels.
