For active members, retirees, and their spouses the Indiana State Police Alliance is hosting a reception and breakfast for the state legislators during the morning of Tuesday, January 24, 2017. The reception will begin at 7:00 AM (Eastern) and conclude at 10:00 AM in the State House Rotunda. Please RSVP to Kelley Flick at the Alliance office (call 317-636-0929 or email email@example.com) by Friday, January 20th to ensure we order enough food. We are fortunate that this event will be entirely funded by Retirement Strategies and Investments, Inc. Former Trooper Keith Kozubal does financial planning and will be attending the event also.
Superintendent Carter has approved attendance in uniform so long as you are not on-duty during your attendance. If you cannot find parking near the State House you can park at the Alliance office (1415 Shelby Street). We will be running a shuttle between the Alliance office and the State House.
We are coming to the end of our marathon. The budget will get approved in April. We have garnered support from the Governor and from a lot of legislators during this endeavor. We have momentum, and that is why this event is so important. We have to keep our pay issue in the forefront. Attend the reception, meet with your legislators and tell them your story, and let us see this marathon through to the end working together.
