Our Story
Humble beginnings, statewide reach
The Indiana State Police Alliance was established in 1974 as a small association of Indiana State Police troopers with a singular focus — promoting better law enforcement to the citizens of Indiana.
Over five decades, that focus has grown into something far broader. Today the Alliance provides legal assistance, legislative lobbying, funeral support, survivor benefits, college scholarships, and numerous community programs across the state.
The ISPA works directly with the Indiana State Police department, the governor’s office, and members of the state legislature — and remains the only association of Indiana state police officers recognized by the National Troopers Coalition.
